Summer Camp Opportunities for Our Youth – Sign Up Today!
Summer is right around the corner, and with it comes a joyful opportunity for our young parishioners to deepen their faith, build lifelong friendships, and enjoy the beauty of God’s creation. The Diocese of Baker is once again offering Diocesan Summer Camps at Lake Creek Youth Camp near John Day, and we encourage all families in our parish to consider participating.
📅 Camp Dates & Age Groups
- Youth Camp: June 18–22 – Open to current 4th–8th graders
- Youth Camp Leaders: June 18–22 – Designed for current 9th–12th graders
- Quo Vadis: June 23–26 – For young men in grades 8–12 discerning their vocation
Two family camp options are also available this year for families seeking a Christ-centered experience together:
- Cove Christian Camp near LaGrande: July 26–29
- Camp White Branch near McKenzie Bridge (between Redmond and Eugene): July 31–August 3
Registration for all camps is open now at dioceseofbaker.org.
⛺ Volunteer Needs
These youth camps are only possible with the support of faithful volunteers. The Diocese is actively seeking help in the following roles:
- Summer Catholic Youth Camp (June 18–22):
- 1 RV for priest lodging
- 10 adult chaperones (21+) for campers
- 1–2 nurses/EMTs
- 1 musician
- 2–5 YA helpers (ages 18–20)
- Quo Vadis (June 23–26):
- 2–3 RVs
- 4+ male chaperones (21+)
- 1–2 nurses/EMTs
- 1–5 YA helpers (ages 18–20)
If you’re feeling called to assist, this is a rewarding way to serve the Church and support our youth in their spiritual growth.
🙏 Let’s Send Our Youth with Our Prayers
Even if your family isn’t participating directly, we ask all parishioners to keep the campers, leaders, and volunteers in your prayers. These camps offer our young people a chance to grow closer to Christ, unplug from distractions, and experience faith in action.
For questions or assistance with registration, feel free to reach out to the parish office.
Let’s help our youth say “yes” to God’s call this summer!
